Orfeus Publishing is a significant publisher of art books. We are among the leading publishers of art, architecture, and design books in the Nordic region. Orfeus collaborates with major players such as the Munch Museum, the National Museum, KODE, the Sparebank Foundation, as well as artists, architects, galleries and collectors. Orfeus is approved as a scientific publisher; level 1.

The publisher is owned and operated by Birgitte M. Siem and Inger Schjoldager.

Orfeus was founded by Ole Rikard Høisæther in 1995, but became an independent publisher in 2011 after being part of Cappelen Damm for 10 years. The publisher has a backlist of over 130 publications in the last 12 years. Orfeus is experiencing a significant increase in commisions, which is exciting for us as publishers - and the art and architecture community in Norway.
