Postcards from the Future is the inaugural exhibition of PoMo, Trondheim’s new museum for modern and contemporary art.
 
Located in the city’s historic former post office, the exhibition marks the first presentation of PoMo’s newly established
permanent collection, accompanied by prominent loans from national and international museums and private collections.

Inspired by the postcard’s diverse views of the world, the exhibition unfolds through a series of dedicated and thematic artist presentations. Each explores key themes of our times, such as community, identity, material culture, historiography and global interconnections.
 
The catalogue contains a selection of works and excellent articles on the 24 artists in the exhibition, complemented by new commissioned short stories by renowned contemporary authors Calla Henkel, Christina Hesselholdt, Erlend Loe and Zeshan Shakar, inspired by the themes and artworks in the exhibition.
